James E. Duncan

A funeral service for James E. Duncan, 68 of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Buckeye Lake, OH will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica with Pastor James Reed officiaing. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call 6-8 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the funeral home.

Mr. Duncan passed away on January 16, 2015 at his residence. He was born on March 7, 1946 in California to Charles and Eddyth (Taylor) Duncan.

He was a loving father, son, husband and brother. He was a U.S. Marine in Vietnam, a Navy Diver and recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS in Mt. Vernon and retired from Owens Corning in Newark.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, B.J. and Jennifer Hipkins of Fort Mill, SC, Jason and Laura Reed of Heath, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Bob Ramsey of Martinsburg, grandchildren, Ashton Hipkins, Brandon Hipkins, Jonathon Hinger, Kai Reed, Quinn Reed, parents, Charles and Eddyth (Taylor) Duncan of Fort Myers, FL, sisters and brothers-in-law, Patty and Robert Glover of Fort Myers, Paulette and Maurice Rowles of Fort Myers, Charlette and Gerry Arandus of Houston, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Tekka Duncan who passed away December 31, 2013 and sister, Lora Lee Furbee.
