James Edward Hartrum

December 16, 1933 – July 5, 2018

James Edward Hartrum, proud patriot and US Navy Veteran, passed peacefully, Thursday, July 5 ^th at the age of 84, leaving behind his fiance' Louise McDonald and his loyal fur baby Prince. He was born on December 16, 1933 in Newark.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Jason Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown with military honors by the Licking County Veteran's Alliance.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the funeral home.

Jim was preceded in death by his wives, Rita Ann Hartrum (1989) and Terry Hartrum (2006); his parents, Edward and Della Hartrum; his siblings, Robert Hartrum, Shirley Roach, Judith Angeletti; granddaughter, Ashley Dwyer; and step-son Michael Shepard.

Loved ones he leaves behind are his children, Joyce Schoffner, Bill Hartrum, Jeanette Pugh (Kevin), Belinda Hartrum, Laura Hartrum and David Hartrum (Tammy); step-children, Shelly Duffey, Janis Shepard, Amy McCartney (Duane), Jodi Dwyer (Rodney) and Clarissa Mitchell; sister, Sue Bachus (Jim). Also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim will be fondly remembered by family and friends. He loved NASCAR, golf, westerns and old war movies.
