James W. Pierce, 72, of Mt. Vernon passed away on January 20, 2024. He was born on November 27, 1951 in Barnesville, OH to the late Frederick F. and Lova M. (Holland) Pierce, Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Dallas) Valentine; son, Jerimy Mulligan; grandchildren, Dallas Valentine, Jr., Nicholas Valentine, Emma Valentine, James Sewell and Aleksander Sewell; sisters, Emily Martello and Lova Darlene Schwartz.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Brian Pierce; and brother, Frederick F. Pierce, Jr.
