Janet Carol (Hanners) Crain, age 83, of Utica passed away on December 27, 2025, at Licking Memorial Hospital. Janet was born on September 23, 1942, in Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Henry A. and Cora B. (Pelphrey) Hanners.

She used to attend the Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay, Ohio, and she enjoyed reading.

Janet is survived by her children, Angela K. (Gerald) Magers, Thurston Randall (Gwen) Crain, Lucas Anthony (Holly) Crain; grandchildren, Gabby, David, Maverick, Lila, Max; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Juliana, Monroe, Fiercen; sisters-in-law, Jean Setser, Mary Jo Hanners; brother-in-law, Milo Nivison; many, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica McFadden; great grandson, Atlas; siblings, Ronald Setser, Henry Hanners III, Kathryn Alexander, Helen Holley and Barbara Nivison.
