A funeral service for Janice M. Van Fossen, 84 of Johnstown will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Bryan Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown.
The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Van Fossen passed away September 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born in New Way to the late Eber and Wanda (Barrick) Sesser.
Janice enjoyed her grandchildren and spending time with her friends of the Rose Club. She recently worked at Ross Market in Granville.
She is survived by her children, Rose Hughes, Jeffrey (Barb) Van Fossen and Julia (Joseph) Leaman; grandchildren, Anna (Richie) Rauch, Elizabeth Van Fossen, Jeremiah (Nikki) Van Fossen, Aaron Swingle and Derek Swingle; sisters, Bonnie Hatch and Mary Foster; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Van Fossen; brother, Vincent Sesser; sisters, Hope Perfect, Dona Williams and Ann Holt.
