Jennifer Kathleen (Shuley) Atherton, 56 of Mt. Vernon passed away on September 8, 2024 at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1968 in Mt. Vernon, OH to the late Terrance Joseph Shuley and Cynthia Anne (Billman) Ransom.

Jennifer worked at Country Court in Mt. Vernon. She enjoyed singing, reading and drawing.

She is survived by her son, Ian Shuley; daughter, Talyn Boyd; her 4 grandchildren that called her Gammy, Raelee (Scott) Wise, Kristian McGinnis, Jackson Boyd and Ava Boyd; siblings, Tracy Shuley, Tiffany Miller, Mike (Kristin) Shuley, Joe Shuley, Jessica Noyes, Brianna Ransom, Terrance Ransom and Preston Ransom; step-father, Jack Ransom; uncle, Kendall Billman; many nieces and nephews; best friends, Ashley Young, Becky Wright and Shelley Machwart; and her beloved cat, Butters.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Chad Shuley; niece, Alicia Kiser; nephews, Carl Chad "Buddy" Shuley and Ronnie Miller; and aunt, Kate.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm on Sunday, September, 15, 2024 at Brucker-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
