Jerald "Jerry" Carl Hyatt, 72, of Newark, died Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born September 10, 1947 in Mt. Vernon to the late Lynn and Hazel (Perkins) Hyatt.

Jerry had a kind heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He enjoyed fishing, drawing, country music, John Wayne, and reading Western books.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie; two daughters, Jerrie Lynn Hyatt and Deb (Larry) Hyatt Brown; stepdaughters, Alice Newlin Wayne and Leann Workman Hughes; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Alice (Jim) Poland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Thomas Hyatt; two sisters, Lynn Warner and Linda Smith; stepdaughter Dreama Trumet; and great grandchild Karmyn Johnson.

No funeral services will be held.
