Mount Vernon - Friends may call one hour prior to the memorial service for Jerry Edward Hess, 60 of Mount Vernon which will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Law-Baker Funeral Home.
Jerry died July 2, 2010 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. He was born August 13, 1949, in Drill, Virginia to Iris (Miller) Hess and the late Jerry Hess.
He worked at Anheuser-Busch as an electrician for many years. Jerry was a good father and loved being with his family. He loved playing softball, going to music concerts to watching his nephews band perform and he enjoyed people.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Iris and Jerry Wurm of Lebanon, VA; sons, Shannon, Nathan and Collin Hess all of Johnstown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Denny and Debra Hess of Johnstown, Randy and Barbara Wurm of Lebanon, VA,; sisters, Shiela Laymon of Mount Vernon, Candi Wurm of Lebanon, VA.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Hess.
