Jerry D. McArtor

Utica - A funeral service for Jerry D. McArtor, 73 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Bruce Hissong and Anthony Payton will officiate.

Jerry died March 30, 2011 at Generation Hospice at Flintridge, Newark. He was born December 12, 1937, in Newark to the late Ralph A. and Vivian N. (Cline) McArtor.

Jerry was inducted into the Utica Football Hall of Fame, January 18, 2008. He was a member of Sons of American Legion for 28 years. Prior to driving a truck he worked at the Miller Co. Jerry was an avid bingo player and fisherman, loving his trips to Canada and he was a great cook.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Debi and Alan McKenna of Heath, Jerri and Bob Bachmann, Kim and Bob Osborn all of Newark, Katherine Burke and boyfriend, Jerry of Johnstown; son, Larry E. McKenna of St. Clairsville; 9 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Skip and Kay McArtor of Heath, Jeff and Judi Dondrea of Newark; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra Jenkins, Lois and Chuck Belcher, Judy and Spurge VanKirk all of Newark; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Alberta B. (Farley) McArtor who passed away Feburary 12, 2007; daughter, Rebbeca Jean McArtor; brothers Donald Charles McArtor, Larry D. McArtor.
