A funeral service for Jimmie A. Boubary, 70, of Utica will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Home, 1106 Park Ave. E., Mansfield with Pastor Troy Kahler officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park, Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 30, 2018, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica and then 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Home, Mansfield.
After a long struggle with Parkinsons, Jim is at peace with his Lord. He passed away March 25, 2018 at Newark Care & Rehab. Jim was born November 9, 1947 in Mansfield to the late Arthur G. and Thelma E. (Hutchison) Boubary.
He graduated from Crestview High School and Massillon Baptist College. Jim was a Pastor for 31 years at the Utica Baptist Temple.
He was married to his wife, Rebecca for 49 years and they had a son, Jemey A (Kelly) who gave them three grandchildren, Kylie, Joshua and Rachel, and one great-grandson, Brendan.
Jim was an Army Veteran who had two sisters, Sharyon (Richard) Seeburger and Rebecca (George) Gushard and many nieces and nephews.
Jim enjoyed watching all sports, loved playing cards, and having cook-outs with the family. His presence and hardy laugh will be sadly missed.
