A funeral service for John A. Firman, 64 of Westerville, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call 4:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mr. Firman passed away January 24, 2017 at Mount Carmel St. Ann's, Westerville. He was born March 10, 1952, in Columbus to the late Myron A. Firman and Thelma Reams (Firman) Wilson.

John graduated from Mifflin High School, Columbus in 1970. He retired from Worthington Steel Industries after working from Nov. 1972 to Feb. 2013. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kara Firman; daughters, Brandie Firman-Salierno and Ashlie Firman; eight grandchildren, Alara, Valyn, Divinity, Giovanni, Devon, Tristan, Makayla and Shalyn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Myron and Kathy Firman, David and Denise Firman; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Bob Deford.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas A. Firman.
