John "Jack" Jacob Vance Thompson

Gahanna - Calling hours for John "Jack" Jacob Vance Thompson, 51 of Gahanna, will be held 4-6 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica where a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. with Deacon Bob Killoren officiating.

Mr. Thompson passed away February 12, 2016 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. He was born April 28, 1964, in Marion to Connie Y. (Vance) Thompson and the late Harold J. Thompson.

Jack graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1982 and was employed by Chase Bank, IT Department. He enjoyed fishing, music, movies and reading.

He is survived by his mother, Connie (Vance) Thompson; siblings, Cindy (Tom) Ratcliffe, Rick (Diane) Thompson, Cheryl (Frank) Dillon and Jerry Lee Thompson; nephews, Frankie and Joey Dillon, ex-wife and friend, Lisa Thompson; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; God children, Leila and Anthony Shore and Brandon Weis; and his loving furbaby, Malcolm.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harold J. Thompson; father-in-law Gumar Weis.
