A funeral service for John "Pat" Mulligan, 81, of Utica will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Utica Church of Christ, 115 N. Central Ave., Utica with Doug Swan officiating.  Burial will follow at Martinsburg Methodist Cemetery.  The family encourages everyone to wear green in honor of Pat and his Irish heritage.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Utica Church of Christ.

Pat passed away on April 21, 2022.  He was born on February 21, 1941 in Parkersburg, WV to the late John Charles and Carrie Ann (Moore) Mulligan.

Pat was a member of the Utica Church of Christ and retired from Western Electric as a Tool and Die Maker after 37 years.  He was the voice of the Redskins for 35 years and was inducted into the Utica Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Siobhan and Walter Powell; sons and daughters-in-law, Seamus and Stephanie Mulligan and Liam and Christine Mulligan; 16 grandchildren; 16 and 1/2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Craig and Abby Novel; brother-in-law, Alan and Wilma King; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Mulligan; son, Sean Mulligan; and brother, Mike Mulligan.
