A funeral service for John E. Stoner, of Heath, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 37 South Main St. St. Louisville, Ohio with Rev. Mark Nodo officiating. Burial will follow in Welsh Hills Cemetery.
John died April 18, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1927 in Vandalia Ohio to the late Russell L. and Marie T. (Teeter) Stoner.
He graduated from Vandalia High School and attended Wittenburg University. He worked side-by-side with his father in Stoner's Orchard in Dayton, Ohio. He later was owner of Stoner's Orchard Utica Ohio. John was a WWII Navy veteran and a Navy Seabee.
He is survived by by his wife of 62 years, Cleo (Hanes) Stoner of Heath, sons Russell and Andrew Stoner of Columbus, son and daughter-in-law Josh and Debra Stoner of Delaware, daughter and son-in-law Krisanne M. and Soc Goumas of Granville, grandchildren Chase, Sophie and Amanda Goumas, Eli and Gretchen Stoner and a great -grandson Felix.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter Marah and sister Joanna Linsalata.
Friends may call 11-12 p.m., Tuesday, April 23 at St. Paul Lutheran Church 37 South Main St. St. Louisville, Ohio.
