Joshua Michael Valentine, age 45, of Homer, passed away and joined his loved ones in Heaven Tuesday, April 12, 2022. He was born in Newark on February 22, 1977, to Randy and Patricia (Sullivan) Valentine.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, and son. He lived his life seeking only love and peace, which he conveyed to his co-workers daily. He was an active member of the IBEW local 683 as a journeyman electrician. Josh dearly loved his wife and family. He loved learning, buying, and playing guitars. He enjoyed many days golfing with his buddy Sean. He loved taking chances on stocks and investment opportunities and learning the ends and outs of the trade market. Most days he just enjoyed coming home to relax.

Josh was saved and baptized in July 2014, he had a heart for God and enjoyed studying the Bible. He also loved cookouts and good food.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Shannon (Chapman) Valentine; brother, Clint; son Trent; daughter; Olivia; stepdaughters, Kaylyn Walls, Kennedy Walls, and Chloe Cox; stepson, Kyle Walls; niece, Aaliyah; nephews, Kyzer, and Lincoln; many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandma, Doreen Sullivan; grandparents, Howard "Ed" and Helen whom he cherished; great grandparents, Lee and Gladys Hess.

A small private memorial service will be held from 6pm-7pm Friday, April 29 , 2022, at Law-Baker Funeral Home 34 N. Main St, Utica, Ohio 43080 .
