Homer - A funeral service for June K. Bell, 80 of Homer, will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wildermuth officiating. Burial will follow in Homer Cemetery.
Friends may call 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
June died August 11, 2013 at Country Court Nursing Center, Mount Vernon. She was born October 19, 1932, in Taylor Station, Ohio to the late Robert and Ethel (Cunningham) Carrington.
She was a member of Homer Presbyterian Church. June loved gardening with her husband and gathering with family and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Pamela Bell of Mt. Gilead; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Calvin Davison of Howard, Carla and Glen Davis of Homer; grandchildren, LeeAnn Steel, Michael LuFaso, John Davison, Pilar Fisher, Alicia Kiser, Ben Boyer, twins, Nathan and Sierra Davis; great grandchildren, Jake Cullen, Brodhi Steel, Vini Fisher, Madison Kiser; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Shirley Carrington of Mount Vernon, Homer Carrington of Milford, Steve and Saundra Carrington of Honduras; sisters and brother-in-law, Dolores Stiles of Marysville, Shirley and Jerry Flora of Dayton; special friend and caregiver, Joyce Rutherford of Homer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Bell; grandson, Carl Chad Shuley; brothers, Robert Jr., Norman, Jesse and Allan Carrington; sisters, Myrt Morrison, Irene Scott and Carol Elliott; best friend, Lawrence Zeigler.
