Kathern E. Battles, 48, of Mt. Vernon passed away on April 9, 2023 at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on February 21, 1975 in Orlando, FL to Terry Ramsey and Darleen Battles.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her uncle and aunt, Joe and Patty Ramsey; brothers, Dwayne Battles and David Ramsey; numerous cousins; best friend Tonya "Grace" Adams; and her Gantt Homes family.

Kathern was very friendly, had a huge heart and never knew a stranger. She called everyone "Buddy". She was loved by all who met her for her loving and spunky personality. Kathern loved to dance to all kinds of music. She collected pens and notebooks. She also enjoyed shopping.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12-2pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Fredericktown Recreation District, 12 Mill St., Fredericktown, OH 43019.
