A funeral service for Kelly Raines, 95 of Utica will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Walter Bruah officiating. Burial will follow in Homer Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:00 p.m.

Mr. Raines passed away October 20, 2017 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born August 18, 1922 in Riverton, WV to the late Howard Keith and Lela (Smith) Raines, Sr.

Kelly was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Licking Lodge #291 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine, Aladdin Provost Unit, Licking Co and Utica Shrine, and Glenwood Eastern Star #338. He was a Burlington Township Trustee for 40 years, associate member of Ohio Township Association and associate member of Licking County Township Association.

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Ruth M. (Poulton) Raines; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Brown, Nancy (James) Piar; five grandchildren, Diane and Danielle Piar, Beth (Andrea Davis) Brown and Brittany Brown, Becky Hensley; two great-grandchildren, Tailer (Kenneth) Schmuki and Bob Hensley; one great-great-grandson, Benjamin Schmuki, sister-in-law, Leona Poulton; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Ed Raines, Goldie McDaniel, Grace Sesser, Howard Keith Raines, Jr. and Jane McVay; son-in-law, Robert E. Brown.
