Kinnith "Kin" Howell Norris, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 under the care of Hope Hospice.
Kin was born on June 21, 1946 in Laurel Bloomery, Johnson County, Tennessee, although he grew up and spent much of his life in Ohio. He graduated from Utica High School before going on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration form Ohio University in Athens, OH.
Kin married his loving wife, Deborah J. Richardson on May 22, 1976 in Toboso, OH. They had resided in Columbus, Newark and Westerville, Ohio before moving to Cape Coral, FL.
Kin loved to golf and celebrated a hole in one at the Coral Oaks Golf Course in the Cape. He is remembered for having a unique sense of humor, dry wit, and incredible memory.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Deborah "Debbie" Norris, as well as sister, Lois Ann (Norris) Beyer, and nephews; Donnie and Randy Norris, Jason Beyer, and several great-nieces and nephews, cousin Jewel Thompson, and sister in law, Ellen (Glenn) Divan.
Kin was preceded in death by his parents, David Smith Norris (1976) and Gladys Pauline Norris (2007), as well as siblings, Donald Eugene, Vance Bernard "Bernie" and Barbara Sue (Norris) Roderick, and two infant siblings who passed away during his childhood. Also preceding him in death were great- great nephews Nicholas, Chad, and Cody Norris, and of course his most beloved German Shepherds Attila, Mandy, Thor, and Wilma.
A private grave side service will be held at Homer Cemetery in Homer, Licking County, Ohio. Arrangements are entrusted to Fuller Metz Funeral Service in Cape Coral, Florida and Law Baker Funeral Service in Utica, Ohio.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Mena and the Gulf Coast Medical Center ICU staff, as well as Dr. Newman, Dr. Torricelli and staff, and former cardiac care unit co-workers of Debbie who offered much needed support and finally the Hope Hospice House of Cape Coral.
