Larry D. Hatch, 80, of Appleton went to be with the coon hunters in the Heavens on December 3, 2022. Larry passed away at Knox Community Hospital after a short stay. He was born on May 28, 1942 to the late Dale and Margaret (Wolfe) Hatch in Appleton where he was the unofficial Mayor and Fire Chief.

Larry graduated from Johnstown High School in 1960. He worked for Alexandria Sohio for many years and nearly 30 years for Western Electric Company. He was a Mason in good standing and served 4 years in the Ohio National Guard.

He is survived by many cousins, including his coon hunting partners, David Woosley and Bill Jacks; Jimmy and Myra Wolfe, Tom and Jeannie Rose, Kay Wheeler, Gene and Susan Guthmann Walker, Don and Nancy Guthmann Session, Bill Guthmann, John Guthmann, Jeffrey Wolfe, Georgiana Wolfe, Debbie Wolfe, George Wolfe and various second cousins; and best friend, Dee "Rhubarb" McMillen.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Margaret Wolfe; aunts and uncles, Jim and Donna Wolfe, Karl and Barbara Wolfe and George and Alma Wolfe.

Per his wishes, only a graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Bennington Chapel Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
