Utica - The family of Louise Gerwin Farmer, 89 of Utica, will receive friends from 1:00-4;00 p.m., Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
Louise died October 25, 2010 at her residence. She was born October 23, 1921, in Gibsonburg, Ohio to the late Arthur H. and Bessie (Smith) Gerwin.
Louise was a member of Utica United Methodist Church and a Sunday School teacher. She volunteered for the Ohio Reads Program at Utica Elementary and was an American Red Cross volunteer for the Utica Community Bloodmobile.
Louise was a long time Utica Guidance Counselor and was involved with Youth For Understanding which was an exchange student program.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Theodore A. Farmer and son, Michael Farmer both of Utica; grandchildren, Jayson Talbott Farmer, Cody Talbott Farmer and Lorrie Morgan Talbott Farmer.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Gerwin.
