M. Arlene Collins
Columbus - A memorial service for M. Arlene Collins, 84 of Columbus, OH, will be held at 2:00 p.m., April 5, 2014 at Gender Road Christian Church, 5336 Gender Rd., Canal Winchester with Pastor Kay McGlinchey officiating.
Arlene passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on February 8, 2014. She was born March 18, 1929, in Columbus to the late Henry A. and Minnie Mabel (Pendleton) Firman.
She retired from Baxter Healthcare in 1991. She was co-owner of Hogan's Bar and Restuarant with her late husband, Charles "Chick" Collins in Murray City. Arlene was a member of Gender Road Christian Church and Jolly Timers.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Cheryl Collins of Glenford; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Richard Walker of Utica; six grandchildren, Julie & James Conley, Kelli and Fred Hill, Jennifer and Anthony Santavicca, Adrianna Collins, Ian Walker, Emily Walker; five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Christopher Conley, Kaitlyn Hill, Audrey and Nicholas Santavicca; brother, Robert Firman of Troy, MI; brother-in-law, Roy Siewertsen of Columbus; sister-in-law, Eva Gross of Kettering and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Grant and Myron Firman; sisters, Genevieve Moerch, Vivian Backus, Veteva Seebaugh, Vava Siewertsen and Grace Ellen Vari; very special friend, Louis Clark.
