Mahlon D. Eash

Utica - A funeral service for Mahlon D. Eash, 84 of Utica, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Melita Christian Fellowship Church, 9956 Camp Ohio Rd, Utica with Alan Byler and Dave Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Melita Cemetery.

Mahlon was hit by a car and died instantly December 13, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 20, 1927, in Shipshewana, IN to the late Daniel J. and Polly D. (Schrock) Eash.

Mahlon was a faithful member at Melita Christian Fellowship Church, a hard working man who loved whatever job he was given. He always loved meeting people and truly loved the God he served.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emma M. (Yoder) Eash of Utica, sons and daughters-in-law, Mervin and Esther Eash of Utica, Duane and Nancy Eash of Gambier, Floyd and Linda Eash of Utica, Mahlon D. and Erma Eash, Jr. of Gambier, Ernie and Janice Eash of Utica, LaVerne and Sara Kaye Eash of Tryon, NC, daughter, Lorene and Dan Hochstetler of Utica, daughter-in-law, Wanda Eash of Romney, WV, son-in-law, Paul Miller of Austin, TX, sisters and brother-in-law, Ada Miller of Shipshewana, IN, Edna and Raymond Schrock of Patriot, OH, Katie Eash of LaGrange, IN.

He is preceded in death by his son, Dennis Eash; daughter, Karen Miller and Marietta M. Eash; three brothers; two sisters.

Friends may call 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, December 15 and 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at Melita Christian Fellowship Church, Utica.
