September 30, 1915 - April 14, 2016

Utica - Mary F. Elrod, 100 of Utica was carried home to Heaven by angels of the Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2016.

She was born September 30, 1915, in Mansfield, daughter of the late George and Mary (Gladdish) Holda.

Mary was a very active member of the Church of the Nativity Catholic Church in Utica. Mary played baseball in the 1940s for Blue Sox at Bendix Field

Mary is survived by her Niece and nephew, Karen Eis of Mt. Vernon and Tom (Sharon) Coulson of Martinsburg; great nieces and great nephews, Linnie (Dean) Ogle, Curt (Michele) Coulson, Robert Camnitz, Carla (Neil) Spencer, Casey (Jessica) Coulson; great-great nieces and nephews, Ashlynd, Alyshia, Bryce, Colyn, Travor and Neil, Jr.; great-great-great niece and great-great-great nephews, Ave, Wyatt and Isaac.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

The family will have a Memorial mass at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mount Vernon, at a later date.

Memorial contribution may be made in Mary's name to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058-0430.
