A funeral service for Matilda A. "Tilly" Neighbarger, 73, of Martinsburg, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday. October 4, 2018 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Rev. Jason Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. A luncheon at Martinsburg Community Center will follow the burial.

Friends may call 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.., Thursday, October 4, 2018, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Tilly passed away October 1, 2018 at her residence. She was born November 11, 1944, in Greer to the late G. W. and Bertha (Norris) Chapman. .

She retired from North Fork Local Schools after 32 years of service. Tilly was a foster grandparent, a member of Church of Christ in Martinsburg and volunteered at LEADS Head Start.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Calvin and Janet Neighbarger of Mt. Vernon; daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Chad Nelson of Martinsburg; grandsons, Justin and John Neighbarger, Codi (Sam) and Seth (Hannah) Reynolds; great-grandsons, George and Oliver Reynolds; brothers, Henry Chapman of Fostoria, Kenneth (Sun) Chapman of Lewis Center; sisters, Dorthy Irene Seitz of Martinsburg, Goldie Rauch of Coshocton, Lulu Bell (Dick) Snyder of Monnet; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by six brothers, Ralph, George, Elmer, Harry, Bob and Norman Chapman.
