Mildred Ruth Anderson passed away on Nov 27, 2021, at age 90. She was born in Drill, Va. to Thomas Griffith and Gertrude (Compton) Griffith. In 1948 she met and married Walter Anderson and together they had 2 children, Stephen, and Brenda.

Ruth, as she preferred to be called, worked most of her life as a nurse's aide and in home health care.

After retiring she enjoyed raising goats and numerous other "critters" on the farm. But her most important thing in her life was family. She was a devoted mother and grandma. She was an excellent cook and loved to cook for the family at holidays.

She is survived by son Stephen (Mary), daughter Brenda (David), grandchildren Craig Rice, Luke Rice (Crystal), Amy Anderson, great-grandchildren Anderson Rice and Colton Anderson. Special niece Anna Humphries and numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by husband Walter (2008), brothers Clyde, Harry, John, Dexter and sister, Beatrice.

There will be no services or calling hours per her request. A family service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Licking Memorial Hospital and The Selma Markowitz Care Center for their kind and loving care of our mother.
