Newark - Calling hours for Myrtle M. DeVries, 83 of Newark will be held 8:00am-10:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Church of God, God's Acres, 675 N. Cedar St., Newark where the service will be at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Roger Decker officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery, Utica.
Myrtle died January 24, 2013 at Selma Markowitz Care Center/LMH, Newark. She was born October 14, 1929, in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Jay and Sarah E. (Vibber) Nemire.
She was a member of Church of God, God's Acres in Newark.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, George E. DeVries of Newark, son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Rebecca DeVries of Vicksburg, MI, daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Richard Galler of Kalamazoo, MI, Norma and Ralph Town of Utica, five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, sisters, Annabelle Luteyn, Mary White, Martha Sellers, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Dan and John Nemire, sister, Meredith Striebel.
