Nelson "Dean" Williams, Jr.

A funeral service for Nelson "Dean" Williams, Jr., 74 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 11, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Frank Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Frazeysburg Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-5 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the funeral home with Masonic Service at 4:45 p.m.

Dean passed away April 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born September 28, 1941, in Quincy to the late Nelson Dean and Maybelle (Bailey) Williams, Sr.

Dean was Utica Zoning Inspector for 12 years and worked at Newark Air Force Base as a machinist for 26 years. He was one of the original crew of the USS Kitty Hawk. He was a member of Bladensburg Masonic Lodge #199 F&AM, Eastern Star, Bladensburg Glenwood Chapter #303, Shriners and American Legion, Post 92, Utica.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra L. (Fairall) Williams of Utica; sister, Maxine Williams; brother Dale (Jeannie) Fairall; nephews, Lonnie and Doug Fairall, Eric and Tom McCullom; six great nieces and nephews; best friends, Millie and James Winans; two little poodles, Maggie and Misti.

He is preceded in death by his baby brother, Paul Edward Williams; sisters, Linda G. McCullom and Carolyn R. Anderson.
