A funeral service for Paul L. Harris, 78 of Newark, will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Highwater Congregational UCC, 1213 Dutch Lane Rd., Newark with Rev. Scott Schieber officiating.

Friends may call 2:00 pm-7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 prior to the 7:00 pm service at the church.

Paul passed away, November 30, 2018 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born on the family farm May 4, 1940, in McKean Twp to the late Harold L. and Lois E. (Barber) Harris.

Paul was a member of Highwater Congregational UCC and a lifelong dairy farmer. He retired in 2001 from General Electric after 19 years of service. Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran doing a tour in Korea.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue E. (Porterfield) Harris of Newark; sons and daughters-in-law, Kreston and Teresa Harris, Karston and Tara Harris, all of Newark; daughter, Kristin Harris of Hebron; grandchildren, Mikayla, Karissa and Cameron Harris, Drew and Cole Harris, Josh (Mary) Moran, Brittany (Brandon) Conkel and Tabi Pontious; great-grandchildren, Bowen and Bryson Conkel.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Helen Potter.
