Paul Edward West, 87 of Utica passed away on October 13, 2026 at Newark Health and Rehab. He was born on February 21, 1939 in Columbus, OH to the late Harold J. and Dessie Lucille (Crist) West.

Paul retired from Buckenberger Farm Service after many years of dedicated work. He enjoyed spending time working on Torrens Farm, where he took pride in caring for the sheep. Paul was deeply committed to his community and generously gave his time as a volunteer in Utica. He proudly served with the Utica Volunteer Fire Department for more than 45 years, demonstrating a lifelong dedication to helping others. He was also involved with the Utica Homecoming. Paul was a longtime member of the Newark Eagles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Alice P. (Hilleary) West; son, James E. (Susan) West; grandchildren, James West and Krystle West; great-grandson, Gregston Pree; special niece, Christine Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Brucker-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
