Pauline C. Saunders, 91, of Mt. Vernon passed away on February 9, 2024 at Country Club Retirement Campus in Mt. Vernon. She was born on May 28, 1932 in Columbus, OH to the late Joseph Nelson and Mildred Delores (Miller) Freeman.

Pauline worked at Ringwalts Department Store for 5 years and 2 years at the Developmental Center in Mt. Vernon.

She is survived by her son, David Alan (Elaine) Newton; daughters, Barbara Sue Rose and Deborah Ann Wheeler; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jenny Keller, Carol Temple, Betty Talbott, Bob Freeman and Linda Freeman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Kenneth Saunders; siblings, Delores Freeman, Sandy Freeman, Pammy Freeman, Mick Freeman, Rex Freeman, Junior Freeman, Linn Freeman and Juanita Newton; and granddaughter, Beth Ann Murphy.
