Phyllis "Sis" Jean Arrington, age 79, of Newark, passed away on September 6, 2024. Phyllis was born on February 9, 1945, to the late Jesse F. and Mildred L. (Moreland) Arrington, in Mount Vernon.

She enjoyed watching The Ohio State football, and vacationing with her family. Sis was a long time member of the Northside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her siblings, Linda S. Wyeth, Darlene K. Swank, Mary R. (Dennis) Bullock, Virginia M. Arrington, Frederick L. (Judy) Arrington, John R. Arrington, and Carl W. Arrington; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine R. Arrignton, and Doris J. Clark; sister-in-law, Wilma L. Arrington; brother-in-law, Carl E. Swank.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 11 - 1 PM at the Brucker-Baker Funeral Home, where her service will immediately follow with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. The burial will take place in Bell Cemetery.
