A funeral service for Ray "Roy" C. Jackson, 79 of Utica, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Marvin Beculhimer officiating. Burial will follow in Fairfield Baptist Cemetery, St. Rt. 256 & Old Millersport Rd., Thurston.

Friends may call 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at the funeral home.

Roy passed away May 4, 2017 at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus. He was born September 30, 1937, in Gilbert, WV to the late Hamilton S. and Ollie (Johnson) Jackson.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl J. (Rinard) Jackson of Utica; son, Russell Jackson of Lancaster, daughters, Bonnie Tschopp, Lorene Ford, both of Baltimore, Susan (Chuck) French of Port Charlotte, FL, Catherine (Pam Whitson) Jackson of Columbus; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Rosetta Budd of Columbus, Sherry Root of Thurston, Connie Huey of Hebron and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his daughters, Rae Donnell Ricker and Carol Waid; brothers, Harold and Russell Jackson; sisters, Lorene Fulk, JoAnn Logue, Helen Fulton, Minnie Jane Jackson.
