A funeral service for Ricci M. Beatty, 68, of Walhonding will be held at 10am on Monday, January 9, 2023 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with his nephew, Josh Carter officiating.  Burial will follow at Martinsburg Presbyterian Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-6pm on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the funeral home.

Ricci passed away on January 4, 2023 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on September 7, 1954 in Newark to the late Leslie Dana and Avanell S. (Jones) Beatty.

Ricci graduated from Utica High School in 1972. He retired from DFAS after 28 years. He was a member of the Licking Lodge #291 F&AM. Ricci was an actor in Off-Broadway plays and Tecumseh. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his husband of 31 years, Mike Gettys; sisters, Rena (Stanley) Cline, Debra (Jeff) Blacksten, Tamre Evans, Melinda (Tom) Balka and Kayla (Alan) Carter; brother-in-law, Sky (Tammy) Gettys; sister-in-law, Lori (David) McPherson; and vastly extended family.
