Richard "Dan" Kent Daniels, 81 of Utica passed away on December 30, 2024 at his residence. He was born on September 16, 1943 in Kankakee, IL to the late Edwin Richard and Lillian Lucille (Maloney) Daniels.

Dan graduated from Utica High School in 1961. He enjoyed sailing, skiing, golfing, having "a cold one", OSU football and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his children, Dawn (Tom) Jenney-Rife, Jackie (Todd) Regan, Katherine-Anne (Joe) Daniels-Rodriguez, Benjamin (Mary) Daniels and Rebeka (Tyler) Hunkins; grandchildren, Kelly and Heather Jenney, Daniel and Nick Regan, Wesley and Amelia Wright, Atticus, Alice and August Daniels, and Baileigh, Jasper and Delilah Hunkins; siblings, John E. "Jack" (Jane) Daniels, Joel "Joe" (Sally) Daniels II and Dianne M. Daniels; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas W. "Tom" Daniels.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
