Richard L. Stockberger
February 6, 1950-January 22, 2015

A funeral service for Richard L. Stockberger, 64, of Utica will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Lock Methodist Church, 7939 Lock Rd., Centerburg with Pastor Dave St. Aubin officiating. Burial will follow in Lock Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

Mr. Stockberger passed away after a courageous 15-month battle with cancer on January 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 6, 1950, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Margaret (Baughman) and the late Paul W. Stockberger.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly D. (Larason) Stockberger of Utica, sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Jennifer Stockberger, Cade and Jillian Stockberger both of Mount Vernon, daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Adam Ruege of Worthington, grandchildren, Jack and Ben Ruege, Lyla, Brant, Cole and Evan Stockberger, sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Bernard Johnson of Butler, Pamela and Brian Kemmenoe of Newark.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Stockberger.

Rick graduated from Northridge High School in the class of 1968 and also graduated from DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago. He was a lifetime member of the National F.F.A Alumni Association. He was the Treasurer of the Licking County Dairy Directors and supervised the operation of the Dairy Directors' Ice Cream Booth at the Hartford Fair for many years.

He was a self-employed dairy farmer. In the past he was employed by Westinghouse Motor Repair Service and also owned and operated Stockberger Electric Motor Service.

He was a lifetime member of the Lock Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, youth leader and trustee for many years.

His favorite pastimes were attending farm auctions and spending time with his cherished family, friends and neighbors.
