Robert A. Edwards

Johnstown - A funeral service for Robert A. Edwards, 89 of Johnstown will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Appleton United Methodist Church, 10927 Van Fossen Rd., Johnstown with Dan Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery.

Robert died January 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 10, 1921, in Monroe Twp, Licking Co. to the late Robert and Hattie B. (Miles) Edwards.

He was a member of Appleton United Methodist Church, Bennington Grange and The Gleaners Band. Robert was a 1939 graduate of Homer High School and a long time farmer, school bus driver for Homer and Northridge and Real Estate agent.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janice A. (Rhodeback) Edwards of Johnstown; daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Barry Wolfe of Reynoldsburg, Judy Piatt of Johnstown, Karen and Dan Spears of Lewis Center; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Liz Edwards of Utica; grandchildren, Joshua and Brett Wolfe, Jessica (Dave) DeCarolis, Jolene (John) Nethers, James (Wendy), Jennifer and Tim Spears, Ron and Travis Edwards, Misty (Chris) Legg; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jaden, Abby and Ellie Spears.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fred and Stanley; sisters, Betty and Laurabelle .
