A funeral service for Robert C. King, 73 of Croton will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Croton Church of Christ with Dan Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Croton Church of Christ, 40 S. Main St., Croton.
Mr. King passed away on February 18, 2017 at the Selma Markowitz Center, Newark. He was born on August 15, 1943 to the late Luther and Jessie (Burton) King in Grassy Creek, KY.
Robert was a member of the Croton Church of Christ. He was a retired teacher for Northridge School District and coached basketball, baseball and volleyball. After retiring, he was an interior and exterior painter. He enjoyed making wood toys and taking them to craft shows.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda C. King; sons, Michael (Jessica Kelly) King and Bryan (Amy) King; grandchildren, Noah, Ruby, Zane, Emma, Lucy and Hope King and Corbin King and Hunter Kelly; brothers, Lucian (Joule) King and Forest (Sue) King; sisters, Viola (Cletus) Mullins, Lola Stevens and Jenova (Melvin) Harvey; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
