A funeral service for Roberta J. "Punky" Martin, 88 of Utica will be held at 1pm on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating.  Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12-1pm prior to the service.

Punky passed away on July 19, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark.  She was born on May 24, 1934 in Mt. Vernon to the late John William and Fern Beatrice (Zimmerman) Hardesty.

She enjoyed reading and driving through the country.

Those that will miss her dearly are, her life partner of 45 years, Danny Ridenour; children, Margaret (Robert Payne) Sherer, Bob (Cheri) Martin and Jenny Dice; grandchildren, Lisa Siegfried, Michael (Nicole) Sherer, Jacob (Madi) Dice, Carl (Stacy) Payne, Ross (Emily) Carter and Shawn (Desiree) Martin; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Karlee Sherer, Waylon Dice, Fenna Payne and Willow Martin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Martin; sisters, Bonnie Wilson, Anne Beckholt and Phyllis Blubaugh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH43055 or a charity of the donor's choice.
