Roger E. Dowell

Roger E. Dowell, 71, of Newark passed away on February 1, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. He was born on December 3, 1948 in Johnstown to the late James A. and Ellen Jewell (Spires) Dowell, Sr.

Roger was a trucker driver for Robertson.

He is survived by his brother, Bill Dowell of Alexandria; sisters, June (Francis) Tschakert of Johnstown, Judy (Jim) Paradis of Largo, FL and Cindy Durthaler of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Dowell, Jr., Ed Dowell and Dave Dowell; and sister, Mary Parks.

Roger will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery in the spring.
