Ronald Bruce "Ron" Murphy, 78, of Utica, died Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Center. He was born August 6, 1943 in Harmon, WV to the late Leroy and Ethel (Crouse) Murphy.

Ron was a family man who took pride in providing for his family and being there for anything they may need. He was a sports enthusiast and was a fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Every Sunday, Ron cooked dinner for his entire family. He enjoyed the time he spent fishing and socializing with friends, but what he loved most was spending time with his family and especially with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Karen; two daughters, Cindy Lawson and Shana (Larry) McKee; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Richard Murphy; and sister, Phyllis Coffay.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 5:30 PM at the Martinsburg Activity Center, 122 W. Liberty St., Martinsburg, OH.
