A funeral service for Ronald Lee Cherry, 70 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Utica Presbyterian Church, 9 S. Main St. with Terry Holobaugh officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
Mr. Cherry passed away April 10, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. He was born December 25, 1946, in Columbus.
Ron was a member of Utica Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post #92. He was an Air Force Vietnam War Veteran and retired from Federal Express.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Diana (Dunnick) Cherry; children, Colleen (Brandon) Sofsky, Benjamin Cherry, Wendy Marcum; grandchildren, Bryan, Michael and Jennifer Anderson, Katelyn Sofsky; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Sherry (Pat) Riley, Christine (James) Wright, Lisa (Michael) Priess; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Helen Winston, Sr.; brother, Clarence Winston, Jr.; best friend, Ron Staats, and beloved dog, "Emma".
