Newark - A funeral service for Ruby E. Landis, 88 of Newark, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Friends and family may call 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Landis passed away January 1, 2016 at her residence. She was born August 26, 1927, in Mount Vernon to the late Martin E. and Christina J. (McGinnis) Haulk.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, Post 92 Utica, Disabled Veterans Foundation and loved crocheting and cooking.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Donita Landis of Newark; ten grandchildren;fourteen great grandchildren; one great- great grandchild; son-in-law, Ron Smith of Utica.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Landis who passed away October 23, 1995; daughters, Carol Hysell and Mary Smith; sister, Betty Haulk; son-in-law, Art Hysell.
