Utica - A memorial service for Ruth R. (Adams) Gantt, 87 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Homer Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 5-7pm Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Law-Baker Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gantt passed away November 3, 2015 at Whestone Care Center, Columbus. She was born June 14, 1928, in Mount Vernon to the late Walter and Orpha C. (Strain) Frye.
Ruth was a member of Utica United Methodist Church and loved photography, music and played multiple instruments.
She is survived by her son, Walter Keith Adams of Meridian, MS; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Perkins of Arizona City, AZ; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Dana Merril Adams and second husband, Ray Gantt; son David M. Adams; brothers, Harley and Clyde Frye; sisters, Merle Chadwell, Pearl Boylan, Ada Hughes and Mary Rodriquez.
