Calling hours for Sharon S. VanNess, 80 of Utica will be held from 12-2pm at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica on Friday, April 14, 2023. Graveside service will immediately follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Utica.

Sharon passed away on April 11, 2023 at Arlington Care Center. She was born on January 3, 1943 in Columbus to the late Jacob and Elsie Shough.

Sharon loved to play bingo, word searches and yard sales.

She is survived by her children, Shari (Bert) Browning, Gary (Kim) VanNess, Jr., Jodi (Leroy Pendleton) Gee and Chad VanNess; grandchildren, Zachary (Ashley) VanNess, Amanda (Kyle) Brown and Kristina (Justin) Ecleberry; 4 great-grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters; and sister-in-law, Karen VanNess.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary E. VanNess, Sr.; and several brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Arlington Care Center and Bella Care Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
