A funeral service for Shirley Etler, 84, of Utica will be held at 2pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Jeff Fry officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service.

Shirley passed away on April 23, 2023 at Knox Community Hospital. She was born on January 30, 1939 in Lewis County, KY.

Shirley attended Utica Baptist Temple. She loved her grandchildren and her puppies.

She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie (David) Ryan and Sandy "Sam" (Darlene Andersen) Etler; grandchildren, Broderick James (Amber) Ryan, Christina (John Miller) Robey, Laura (Steven) McVickers, Matthew Wheeler and William Etler; great-grandchildren, Paiton Robey, David Kayden Reichley, Austin Ryan, Kora Ryan and Jacob Etler; sister, Betty Milner; son-in-law, Gary Wheeler; and numerous close friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Tulley; mother, Jennie (Mason) Garrett; husband, Fred Etler; son, Danny Etler; daughter, Sherrie Wheeler; brother, Clinton Garrett; and brother-in-law, William Milner.
