Stanley S. Walton, Jr.

Utica - A funeral service for Stanley S. Walton, Jr., 70 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Northside Church of Chirst, 4427 Marion Rd., Newark with Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery.

Stanley died July 31, 2011 at Selma Markowitz Center/LMH, Newark. He was born April 15, 1941, in Howard to the late Stanley S. and Bessie (Mason) Walton, Sr.

Stanley was a Korean War Army Veteran and a heavy equipment operator, Local #18.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Sterling Walton of Glen Burnie, MD, Michael Walton of Millington, MD, Bruce and Kim Copeland of Abilene, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Richard Galli of Palm Bay, FL, Sandy Holmes of Pompano Beach, FL, Janiece and Clarence Conley of Utica; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bradford Walton of Mount Vernon, Gerald and Jeanie Walton of Newark, Selden and Dottie Walton of Utica, David and Joann Walton of Granville, Richard and Patty Walton of Newark; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna Jean Neale of Newark, Carolyn Higgins of Mount Vernon, Nancy and Dave Lacey of Johnstown, Betty and Len McGirr of Zanesville, Susie and Ken Granger of Eighty Four, PA, and grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Eduardo, Edna, Ashley, Shelby, Logan, Tiffany, Meghan, Cory, Crystal G., Jill, Crystal and Mindy and 1 great grandchild, Anna.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynda L. (Levingston) Walton who passed away March 1, 2003, and grandson, J. J. from Abilene, TX.
