Sue Eileen Harris

A funeral service for Sue Eileen Harris, 77, of Newark, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2021, at Law-Baker Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Schieber officiating.  Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, OH.

Sue passed away October 3, 2021, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center.  She was born June 11, 1944, in Mt. Vernon, to the late Paul and Eileen (Harris) Porterfield.

Sue grew up in Bladensburg and then for over 50 years she lived on the family farm in Newark with her husband Paul.

She is survived by her children, Kristin Harris of Hilliard, Kreston (Teresa) Harris of Newark, and Karston (Tara) Harris of Newark; siblings, Iris Graham of Utica, Bud (Judy) Porterfield of Frazeysburg, and Luann (Dana) Fulk of Newark; grandchildren, Joshua (Mary) Moran of Akron, Brittany (Brandon) Conkel of Stoutsville, Mikayla (fiancé Seth Ochs) Stuller of CA, Tabitha Pontious of Lancaster, and Karissa Harris, Cameron Harris, Drew Harris, and Cole Harris all of Newark; great-grandchildren,  Bryson, Bowen, and Baylor Conkel all of Stoutsville; sister-in-law, Patty Porterfield of Upper Arlington; aunt, Lela Ewart of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harris, and brother, William Porterfield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
