Ted J. Higgins

Gambier - Calling hours for Ted J. Higgins, 48 of Gambier, will be held 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Grove Church of Christ, 7740 Grove Church Rd., Gambier. Roger Crego will officiate.

Ted died May 20, 2011 at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon of a massive heart attack. He was born August 16, 1962, in Mount Vernon to Jack J. and Carolyn R. (Walton) Higgins.

Ted was a devoted father of three daughters. He was a member of Grove Church of Christ and a graduate of Centerburg High School.

He is survived by his three daughters, Ashley Higgins of Mount Vernon, Ataley and Alanna Higgins of the home; parents, Jack J. Higgins of Gambier and Carolyn R. Higgins of Mount Vernon; grandmother,Imogene Higgins of Mount Vernon; granddaughter, Alyssa Sivits of Mount Vernon; father of Alyssa, Sean Sivits of Mount Vernon; two brothers, Jed Higgins of Mount Vernon, Jon (Wendi) Higgins of Centerburg; five sisters, Cindy (Rodney) Harris of Frazeysburg, Wendy Smith of Cable, Teri (Keith) Page of Sunbury, Tami (Keith) Ruhl of Mount Vernon, Shamra Ann Johnson of Columbus; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and foster sister, Lovina Murvine and family of Newark.

Since Ted passed away without life insurance the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to any Park National Bank in memory of Ted to help with his funeral costs.
