Tekka R. Duncan

Fort Myers - A funeral service for Tekka R. Duncan, 67 of Fort Myers, formerly of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2014 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Alan Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the funeral home.

Tekka died December 31, 2013 at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, FL. She was born April 30, 1946, in Utica to the late Emer E. and Velma E. (Perkins) Davis.

Tekka was a member of Utica Church of Christ and attended Tice Methodist Church, Fort Myers. She was an avid reader and loved doing crossword puzzles. Tekka was a member of Utica American Legion Auxiliary and Amvets of Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Duncan of Fort Myers, FL; children, Jennifer and Bob Ramsey of Martinsburg, Jason and Laura Reed of Heath, B. J. and Jennifer Hipkins of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren, Jonathon Hinger, Kai Reed, Quinn Reed, Ashton Hipkins, Brandon Hipkins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Forrest Davis and Marge Johnson, Larry and Nancy Davis all of Utica, sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma McKee, Linda and Bill Hall all of Utica, Grace Arter of St. Louisville, Sharon and Jim Griffith of Utica, Suzanne and Ron Hull of Mount Vernon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Edyth (Taylor) Duncan of Fort Myers, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
